Gabriela Hearst showed that she cares about the environment by holding her Chloe show at Paris Fashion Week on Thursday in a famous greenhouse in Paris. But on the empty sands of Parc Andre Citroen, stars like Demi Moore and Maria Sharapova seemed to bloom instead of flowers.

Isabel Marant, the “it girl” of Parisian fashion, was in a partying mood Thursday night. Along with her runway show, she put on a musical extravaganza. At least, it finally told the guests why they had been sent a wooden musical instrument as an invitation.

Inside an annex of the historic Palais Royal in Paris, the brand showed a sexy mix of sparkle and ’80s styles, set to live music and a shimmering sculpture of metal spheres.

Disco dresses with shiny sequins and swinging fringe were worn with stripper boots that were so wide that they looked like fishermen’s waders.

The black, white coffee, and silver of these statement boots looked great with jeans or ’80s minidresses.

Fluffy sweater-dresses that could be hugged were comforting, but many of the styles made people feel like they had seen them before.
