Eunice W. Johnson, co-founder of Johnson Publishing Company, launched the Ebony Fashion Fair in 1958. This traveling fashion show showcased African American models and designers, touring over 200 cities across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. The fair raised more than $55 million for various charities, including scholarships and community programs.
