4. Applying Sunscreen

Wearing broad-spectrum SPF daily is a non-negotiable step in any skincare routine, offering critical protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays. Consistent sunscreen use helps prevent UV-induced damage, premature aging, and the development of uneven skin texture, all of which can impact how makeup adheres and looks.
Sunscreen should be applied after moisturizer and allowed to absorb before layering makeup on top. The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends using at least SPF 30, even on cloudy days, to maintain the skin’s health and create an even, resilient canvas for flawless makeup application.
