6. Pyrography (Wood Burning Art)

Pyrography is the technique of decorating wood or leather surfaces by burning intricate designs into them with heated metal tools. This ancient craft has roots in cultures across the globe, from African tribes to Victorian-era Europe.
Modern pyrography artists continue to push the boundaries of the medium, producing works that range from delicate portraits to elaborate patterns. Unlike painting, which adds color, or engraving, which carves away material, pyrography relies on the subtle gradations of burn marks to achieve depth and texture.
